Evangelical Churches Association

 

As a constituent conference member of the denomination, the Evangelical Churches Association represents the Thadou-Kuki speaking community of the ECCI. Founded by the Thadou-Kuki speaking Christian community in 1952 at Molnom village, its first Annual Conference was held at Tolphel village in 1953. ECA has celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1977 and Golden Jubilee in 2002. The ECA has been a leading member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of India from the time of its inception till today.

It also has a Discipleship Training Center where local believers are taught the basic tenets of Christian discipleship. The place is located at the outskirt of Churachandpur town between the villages of K.Salbung and Lajangphai.

It has a prayer Center called Jacob Prayer Mountain is located on a hill below Gelmuol village, overlooking the picturesque town of Churachandpur. A place of retreat located at a secluded place, it is an ideal location for organizing Camps, Seminars, Prayers and Conferences. 

The ECA conference continues to be a vibrant Association of Churches under the able leadership of Rev. T. Janglhun Haokip who serves as the Executive Director of the Conference. Other leaders of this denomination include Rev. Khamkhokhai, Director of Finance and Planning Rev. D. Jangkholam, Director of Missions and Evangelism, Rev. H. Ngulzathang, Director, Youth and Music, Mrs. Hoikholhing, Director Women Ministry, Rev. G.K. Siema, Superintendent, Christian Education, Rev. Letngam, Coordinator, Relief and Development, Rev. Thangzakap, Principal, Discipleship Training Center, Rev. Jangkhoon, Evangelist-at-large and Evan. D. Thenlal, Manager, Jacob Prayer Mount.
